Richard Seymour has vast experience handling plaintiffs in both individual and class action litigations. His primary areas of practice include handling civil rights and employee rights issues. He has authored and co-authored several publications on employment and class action issues, and is a regular speaker at conferences and with organizations across the country. In 2007, the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association honored Richard as "Lawyer of the Year."

He is involved with the American Bar Association Class Action Task Force, American Bar Association Section of Labor and Employment Law, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, Leadership Conference on Civil Rights, and the National Employment Lawyers Association. Richard earned his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School.
