On June 21st, 2010, trials started in federal court to determine if Barge ING 4727 is at fault for a breach of the floodwall in the Industrial Canal. The breach flooded homes in the Lower Ninth Ward, and the Barge Plaintiffs’ Subgroup Litigation Committee is seeking compensation for the resulting damages.
